Ben Makuh
Hello, friend.
My name is Ben Makuh. I'm an introspective pastor-turned-software engineer. I have an MA in biblical and theological studies from Denver Seminary, and whether I'm writing code, blog posts, or books, I write out of a desire to make things better for the people around me. Here on my blog, I review a lot of books for various publishers interspersed with some of my own musings. I'm currently writing my first book about how and why I changed my mind about women in the home, the church, and the world.
Text is my life, and so at work I often focus on building delightful, collaborative text editor applications. I have a breadth of experience with different industry verticals ranging from tools for qualitative research, health tech, real estate tech, desktop design, and online whiteboarding. Whatever I'm doing, my aim is to make products that come alongside human beings who need to get work done—I'm not into the idea that we need to "disrupt" or "automate" the work of our hands.
